Platform Engineer

Our client in Solna seeks a skilled Platform Engineer for their Integration Competence Centre. This assignment focuses on building and managing stable, scalable integration platforms.

As a Platform Engineer, you'll be responsible for the stability, automation, and operational management of integrations, with a key focus on Kafka clusters and HiveMQ administration. You'll design and manage multi-region environments using technologies like Strimzi Operator on Kubernetes and HiveMQ brokers, ensuring high availability and minimal disruptions.

Your role includes developing custom Kafka Connectors for data movement, managing Kafka brokers, implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions, and designing traffic routing strategies. You'll also maintain security models using Kafka ACL, OAuth, mTLS, and more.

Providing Tier 3 support for complex integration issues, you'll advise development teams on technology stacks, ensuring platform performance and scalability. You'll design reusable CI/CD pipelines, automate scaling solutions, and implement Infrastructure as Code using tools like Helm and Terraform.

Success in this role requires strong problem-solving skills, operational responsibility, and effective communication in English. Experience with Apache Kafka, Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, and cloud services like Azure or AWS is essential.
